#DaCaLuF 094: Ziplining To Zipline

The Bellais family from France (David, Camille, Lucile et Félix, aka “DaCaLuF“) is traveling around the world in a converted old fire truck for two years. I learned all about them last week when David Bellais contacted me through vimeo to say he’d used a track of mine in one of his regular video chronicles of their experiences. How xlcnt, then, to see Zipline [off Hola, Sayulita! (2010) and Reflected.10×10 (2012)] soundtracking his family’s actual zipline rides. The joy of these kids, the opportunity for exploration afforded them by their parents, the wild overarching celebration of life inherent in this random yet calculated organic adventure – all adds up to something special. A track of mine somehow touched a small piece of that and it reaffirms why I write songs. Thank you, Bellais’es and good fortune!

2014.12 UPDATE: They’ve used a few more of my tracks in their video episodes, and it’s an absolute kick to follow along and hear my songs pop up every so often.
