The Ghost In You #CoverClub

inside you the time moves and
she don’t fade

don’t you go it makes no sense…

Inspired by the version on the Psych Furs’ Beautiful Chaos: Greatest Hits Live.

What Friends Were

a twistytrack nod to the wombats’ “moving to new york” and how real friends forgive.
i wrote it after living on the internet.

the past slides down a bottomless wall
over miles upon miles of one-way calls
man, it’s been years
since that open-arm town.

if you knew who your friends were
you wouldn’t go back.
there’s just no way
you would ever say that
friends like those would ever take you back.

in ninety four you swore you wrote the code
and you and me we chose to give up all control.
now we can never be invisible
or keep floodlights off our fears.

if you knew who
your friends were
you would never go back.

if you knew who your friends were
you wouldn’t go back.
there’s just no way
you would ever say that
friends like those would ever take you back.

Dream State: Ruby’s, Totonno’s, Coney Island

Save Ruby’s.
pics from saturday’s rallyparty for Ruby’s Bar and a side-trip to Totonno’s. Capped by a glimpse, from the windows of an elevated north-bound F-Train, of a bride and groom in a post wedding stroll by The Cyclone.

I’d like to send this one out for Lou and Rachel
And the Lord appeared and he has one made of two
Coney Island baby
Man, I swear, I’d give the whole thing up for you
